The jack is there for analog audio, but its not hooked up.
Most people probably don’t use it anyhow.
Installed fine. Works fine so far.

I just finished burning a movie on DVD-R and burning a data disc on DVD+R DL and this drive works great and it is super quiet. The only setback would be the packaging it came in. There was no manufacturer box and the only thing it came in was a bubble wrap. Is this thing refurbished???

This burner works great and a great value for my money. Burner is fast and quiet. I bought this Samsung SH-222a/BEBE and replaced Pioneer 16x burner (Mfg Jan. 2006) which Pioneer burner had a shorter life as this Pioneer is the second one in a span of 5 years; the first burner I installed was also a Pioneer. I plan to buy additional units of this Samsung burner to replace all Pioneer 16x burners in my other computers.

Put simply, it works well and the price was right. A great replacement for business computers who have a drive fail and the machine is no longer under warranty.
